You would have heard it many times, place subjects and points of interest on the thirds of your frame and more than likely you will find you will have as interesting shot.
In this situation I had the subject in the left third and the town lit up in the hills in the distance on the right third. The main idea with this shot was to capture the sense of scale and two horizons the immediate being the fence and grass edge and the other the hills edge.
When you frame a shot, think in your mind what’s in my thirds, sometimes you will only have to pan or tilt slightly other times try repositioning the camera to another spot.
